THE PROTECTOR

Protector of whom of what- that is the question. Sheila, his wife, was raped by a casual intruder, while George was with another woman. Donna -- ""the other woman""- claimed that she needed his protection. And George used his job- as a chauffeur on call- as an alibi with both of them. Search for the rapist challenged his allegiance as well as his defences and he was off on a one-man-hunt, with success and delivery of the criminal to the police as his goal. A tale of confused motives and events at cross purposes- with the wife the only person eliciting any sympathy. Fast paced and unpalatable.
