HEIRESS APPARENT

Heiress Apparent to the early Dorothy Eden or Victoria Holt, this is greatly improved by a discretion of both activity and tone so it should not be difficult to get a purchase on the market. Arabel, a young teacher, finds herself the unexpected legatee of Lady Thora and her stately home, Troy Court, where her mother Ursula has served as a housekeeper. But why does Mabel suffer bouts of insomnia and sleepwalking? And what of her sudden, forbidden attraction to her half-brother? And who would suspect the unnatural behavior of her assumed natural mother? And there's a romance to conclude a story that is definitely for better in a genre which is usually for worse.
