For the goody-goodies this prim and prissy little story recounts the mild mannered doings of Ann. She gets a doll for her birthday, but during the party the doll disappears and tearful Ann suspects bandits, the trickery of her teasing cousin Tim etc.. All is well when she finds that her protective scottie has put the doll in his basket for safe keeping.
