by Le Grand ‧ RELEASE DATE: Nov. 14, 1941
The author of the Augustus stories (Bobba- Merrill) has done an historical novel of Georgia at the Civil War days -- a good tale, with an original twist in its blend of slave running -- the reverse picture of the underground railway; of running the blockade with cotton for England; of the share in the battle of the Shenandoah Valley played by the of the V M . I don't particularly like the stylized black and white drawings by the author -- but some people do.
