BIRDS AS INDIVIDUALS

A fascinating book for the amateur ornithologist is written from observant personal experience with birds whose English background is related to America in an introduction by Roger Tory Peterson. There are two long biographies of the titmouse and blackbird followed by an analysis of songs of the various species. Delightfully recounted and a good references book to make a watcher's eyes sharper.
