DELTA MYSTERY

The companionship of Uncle Pete, a Treasury Department agent and apparently a veritable magnet for adventure, turns young Steve's houseboating vacation into an opportunity to uncover singlehandedly a ring of bigtime narcotics smugglers, save three children from drowning and -- above all -- negotiate tricky channels, survive a flood torrent, evade pursuing motorboats and guide the Eve safely through debris-strewn waters. Take away all that snappy piloting and there wouldn't be much left; as it is, the whole mystery gets thoroughly waterlogged. This is strictly for a crew that loves to pore over the charts and longs to get its hands on the Eve's steering wheel.
