A modern fairy tale, of a young Samoan who comes to this big bad country of ours to seek his fortune. One cannot help but feel an affectionate interest in his endless falling in and out of trouble, in his naive faith in the goodness of mankind. It is a story of youth and ideals and vision and inexperience against the buffetings of a realistic world filled with color taboos, with cruelty and kindliness rubbing elbows, with generosity and selfishness. The scene shifts across the country, from the Golden Gate to New York.
