TRAIN FOR TIGER LILY

Tiger Lily is a magic place and the arrival of the train begins a story of kids, animals, cowboys and magicians that has its own charm. On a train out west the children in a family- Duncan, Benjie, Mark, Victoria and Cathy, their dog, McRoberts, and their calf, Prince Rupert, are befriended by Gus the porter who's studying magic. Then in Tiger Lily- a rather nice spot where they find themselves stranded next day- they all meet Seven U and his horse Lightnin'- grown old because Seven U has lost his belt of youth to a wicked old woman who keeps a store nearby. The rest of the tale is the the recovery, loss , and re-recovery of Seven U's belt. Fantasy antics, these may try some, but they have a definite gaiety that may appeal to others.
