'Man, the crops are comin up!'"") -- and just as breathless when a nest with four blue eggs turns up in the car's upholstery (""King took off his shades. 'Man, it's spring,' he said almost to himself"") and Turkle's pages bloom with a fantasy of pink and blue and yellow flowers.
