Director of Public Relations at Johns Hopkins and writer, Lynn Poole had three heart attacks, in 1957, 1959 and 1962 and has now accepted his ""Prometheus"" future. While, there is an average of one book per season by doctors about living with heart disease, there are very few by the coronary casualties themselves. This is not, however, restricted in its interest or information to the first person, although it also includes an account of Mr. Poole's hospitalization, his convalescence, his resumption of normal activities up and to the third ""three times and out"" episode. There is a good deal about the temperamental predisposition toward heart attacks, his own inclination to hurry and worry, about medication (""a chore and a bore""), about fats, coffee, smoking, exercise, and the necessary tenet- ""take time to live."" His book, which not only personalizes this experience but objectifies it to apply to others, should find a receptive audience.
