A VOICE FROM THE LIVING

Up-and-coming London banker Ben Armitage wants to kill his boss, which is only natural since he's in love with the boss's wife. But he doesn't want to get caught. So, when Ben meets attractive Jill Parr at an ESP session and realizes how easily he can send her powerful telepathic messages, he decides to tele-program Jill into buying a rifle and shooting the boss. To accomplish all this, he also has to get Jill to fall in love with him (easy), but when Jill robotically kills the boss's wife instead of the boss, Ben is the prime suspect. And his final telepathic message to Jill (""Confess"") ironically turns into ventriloquistic self-incrimination. Not nearly as inane as some of Lovell's previous tele-thons, but it would take a style far more seductive than Lovell's dull-speak to engage any but the already entranced ESP enthusiasts.
