Letters to a soldier husband, and I don't know why anyone would want to read them unless for the reason that misery loves company. Light style, hardly attained, very feminine, and some schmalz as a mother of two gets used to living alone in Dayton, acquires a job, has troubles with finances and another interfering war widow, is cheered by photographer Tony, takes a Colonel as roomer, and faces bad weeks when Tim is sent suddenly overseas before Christmas. Plenty of the nostalgic ""do you remember when, darling"" sort of sentimentalizing (which to our way of thinking doesn't belong in the public eye), but perhaps there are some in the same boat who will like it. We don't!
