MADE UP TO TAKE OUT

Versatile verses deal with the commonplace with a nicety of phrase and humor, and anything from safety belts to the cocktail party, housework, spelling, terminology, cats- and kittens, with special sections on children, on Christmas, occasion the rhymed commentary. Miss Fishback is not Phyllis McGinley, but all these light poems have their moments of recognition- particularly feminine- and there are lines to re-read and remember (i.e. ""Virtue is its own reward/ Maybe that's why I'm so bored"" -- or ""People who always Get Things Done/ Have very little time for fun"". Nimble, pleasant, occasional entertainment- perhaps a hostess gift.
