DANGER AT NIAGARA

The danger is that the British will defeat the Americans. . .but not with spy-spotting kids like Homan Reed around Niagara. Rejected by the army as too short, he seeks out enlisted brother Guy who is fighting some soldiers' accusations that he's a Tory because he opposes their burn-Newark tactics. Homan goes home and looks after the girlie Warren girls until he is accepted by desperate recruiters; he points out his pet suspect, then learns Zeb Humel is indeed a spy -- but for Homan's Americans, and the boy has interfered with his work. Familiar trail marks, new paint on the fork.
