TALLY -- HO

A dog story, with a quality of authenticity and a lack of sentimentality that makes it worth while. Tally-Ho was a Dalmatian, so it is a story of horses as well. He spent his early life in England, and then came to America, with a race horse, and had to be left behind to become the beloved mascot of a fire house. When horses were abandoned, his life grew dull -- and he was sent to kennels in Virginia, where he taught himself to be a hunting dog. Good tale, and good pictures.
