The colored illustrations of Adrienne Segur succeed admirably in heightening the quality of wonder intrinsic to the stories, rather than, as many illustrations do, losing ground in the attempt to limit fantasy to the restrictions of the drawn form. They are large, elaborate, romantic, and colored in fascinating jewel and flower tones. A tonic for the television addicted child, whose capacity for imaginative conceptions is under daily threat of elimination. Elegant and good sized typography.
