A good deal of to-do without getting anywhere. Three girls face life with an urge to find its meaning for them. Sue ""gets hers"" after a brief butterfly career, with rather deliberate courting of disaster through unconventionality. Charis finds disillusionment in chasing lost causes and discovering that her income is more appreciated than her enthusiasm for righting the wrong. She, too, is caught, but innocently and tragically. Judith, conservative but striving to share her chum's angle on life, has a few hard lessons to learn, but emerges, bearing the palm, handed her by Charis. A rather futile book but it might have a rental library sale.
