PUDDING AND PIE

The author's two cairn terriers, photographed while Mother's ostensibly away, with a running commentary of their mess-chief. They explore cabinets, reject cans of food in favor of carrots which need no opener, unwind rolls of paper towels, fight over a stuffed animal, etc. until they hear Mother return; then they rush back to their proper places just in time for the still-ignorant pat on the head. ""Such good puppies!"" And, except for a working one-liner from Pie when Pudding answers the telephone: (""I knew it wasn't Mother""), such old tricks.
