I WAS A SPY was a dark horse last year. This is a follow-up, which all who read the earlier book will want, and which will lead new readers back to the other. It contains seven stories of spies, six of whom were closely concerned in the career of Marthe McKenna. The adventures seem to pull the long bow, but are none the less absorbingly interesting. Practically all the characters were in the first book, -- Stephen, the Pole, and Alphonse, the Alsatian, presumably loyal to the German cause and connected with the hospital where the author worked. Only one professional member of the British Intelligence is included, and his story, closely allied with the activities of ""Canteen Ma"" is the most thrilling in the group.
