Short stories, varying in theme and manner. Several are sardonic and macabre; some are broad farce; two or three are very English and will not appeal to the average American reader. Good enough entertainment, facile style, and will appeal to the average enthusiast for the short story form, who is not seeking something in the modern manner. The short story market is distinctly limited, however, and these are not particularly distinguished.
