A LIKELY STORY

In Bective, a little village on the banks of the Boyne, lived Packy, only son of a widow. It was really the widow's complaints about their shabby cottage which led one of the Shee (an ancient people who live under the hill and teal children) to lure little Packy into the strange cave. Only people who are discontented with their lot in life are interesting to the Shee. But Packy eluded his captors as Nora black and white drawings tell. Plotting and narrative seem like the ramblings of a woolly-headed nursemaid. Unsavory Irish stew.
