THE TEJERA SECRETS

Isobel Tejera returns to the Antilles island of Domingo since her mother is dying hoping to learn -- and goodness knows there's a lot -- the truth about her father's death (suicide-murder) fifteen years ago and the mixed-blooded legacy he handed down (to her? or just to her younger brother?) and finally the sapphic nature of the relationship which has long existed between her mother and her predatory companion-friend. Obviously this is not the little-old-ladylike stuff you expect in this category although it services the same audience as a sunkist equivalent of that midwinter cruise they couldn't afford to take. It's perfectly easy on the eyes.
