by Maurice Procter ‧ RELEASE DATE: Dec. 4, 1968
Another not so super case for Superintendent Clay in which his subordinate Martineau is suspected of extortion via off-color (i.e. blue) pictures of one of Granchester's leading citizens. This however strays from the starting point to the murder of a pretty hooker, mobsters and truckloads of cigarettes on the road. It might be Procter who has run out of petrol--this is no more than perfunctory.
