THE WISHING STAR

An obvious quadrangle story, in which the wife plays dog in the manger, trying to hold on to both her husband and her lover, although both of them are in love with another (the same) girl. Contemporary complications with a mined ship, air raid accidents, war time hospitals -- and deliberately engineered misconceptions, which finally straighten out, leaving a couple presumably together again -- and romance triumphant.
