NEITHER SUN NOR STORM ---

Well handled story of Gerald Benton, the small town boy who goes to New York to aim for the top of the pile, aided by charm, likeability and excessive ambition. From simple staple values at home, he breaks away to become the boy wizard of Wall Street; he maintains through the years a relationship outside of marriage with a fine woman of dubious past; he becomes engaged to a socialite. Comes the crash -- and his house of cards crashes. Nothing sensational, but likeable story in minor scale, for rentals primarily, and for branch libraries.
