A bizarre little king (here clothed in scratch black lines on white) who rules over a barren land wants only to find and possess one flower. When found, the blossom refuses to be picked. So small king cherishes it, loves it, waters it, talks to it, and when he dies, is buried under it. Some appeal, but not the sort which will be appreciated by young onlookers; the pictures are minute and too indefinite. A let down from the author of Penny Pencil(1963, p. 1, J-1)
