Again the pitter-patter of pint-sized Potter-personifications. The little field mouse, Scuffie, liked to read in bed. Though his mother warned him to shut the door before he fell asleep, Scuffle was too absorbed in his book to remember. A mole peeped in the door and Big Beetle and Little Beetle said hello. Then came a big cat: But Scuffie used his wits and told the cat the story he was reading, about how all the people in the neighborhood were going to chase the local cats with brooms and ice water. Before Scuffie finished the story the cat was far away in flight. After that experience Scuffie remembered to close the door, but he still read in bed. For an established market. Firmly stitched.
