A good story -- sort of a modern Littlest Rebel type of story. Susannah is unceremoniously dumped upon her uncle while her parents are off to India, and is initiated into the discipline of the Mounties with many insurrections and plenty of worry on the part of her elders. She's a very real small girl, and the details of the life and routine seem authentic. The book is being launched with a good deal of publicity on the eve of the international Horse Show, when the Canadian Mounted Police take prominent part.
