Another ""Way to a Man's Heart"" is a cookbook- designed to keep him well- and while there have been other low fat-cholesterol conscious cookbooks, this should also serve. Since men, rather than women, show a 3 to 1, 4 to 1, tendency toward heart attacks- there are particular suggestions for them- when eating out of the house (lunches, etc.) and keeping the intake of saturated fats down. For both men and women there is general guidance on the physiology of the heart attack, overweight, and affiliated diseases, along with basic information on the chemistry of fats, carbohydrates, salt. The recipes themselves follow conventional categories, are generally interesting and cosmopolitan in tone, and indicate both the caloric and fat content of each. They substitute nonfat dry milk powder, corn oil, buttermilk, cottage cheese, margarine and Mazola margarine for cholesterol-forming products.
