Linda Goes to the Hospital (1953) was perhaps the best of these illustrative little stories about ""first times""; this one is a little too gushy and sweet for our tastes. On a short flight to N.Y. Linda meets Chris, just 8, who gives her a manly dose of information about propellers, seat belts etc., while Linda admires. To add a story line, Chris has smuggled a kitten aboard which he gives to Linda after she and the stewardess have thought up a birthday party for Chris.
