DE SHOOTINEST GENT'MAN

A sporting classic, hitherto obtainable only in a limited de luxe edition (1934), now made available to the wider market to which it is entitled. Some of the best hunting stories ever written, with full quota of humor and now and again- sentiment. Fragments, short stories, vivid human portraits, the feel of the duck-blinds and the marshes and the field. I read it years ago -- have reread some of the stories since-(they make perfect group reading) and their charm has not dimmed. It is good news to know that it is available again. Illustrated with eight half tones from photographs. Ideal ""escape reading"" in days when gunning expeditions are only relived in memory.
