WATERWAY JOURNEY

The Wainers, Nora, Bert and nine-month-old Kit, made a three-month journey down the Atlantic Intercoastal Waterway from Essex, Connecticut to Miami, Florida. Their craft: a twenty-four foot trimaran sailboat which they built themselves. Nora tells all about it--the meals and marinas, people met, hurricanes weathered on the way. Aside from an inset about an earlier visit to the South when she had coffee at Dr. King's house, and one on which she went to report a racial situation, there is really very little to say, somehow. The high point was having to pay three dollars for using a shower in an unfriendly marina. Don't bother to buoy this one.
