PROUD PUMKIN

A story for Halloween, seasonally complemented with careful black and orange pictures by the author, puts a moral to the tale of jack o'lantern who learns what it's like to be useful. Sure he will not be made into a pie, Proud Pumkin is glad when he's made into a jack o'lantern. But after the mice and snow come along to ruin his face, he's glad when a little chipmunk decides to turn him into a warm winter home. Sweet, but not sappy.
