by Norma Zane Dobrin ‧ RELEASE DATE: March 25, 1963
The chief value of this book is that it helps to fill a sparsely covered area. It is a brief introduction to Spanish in story form. A vocabulario at the end translates the words employed in the text. Many of the words are illustrated by the pictures. It is possible that someone using the book with a good teacher and and a class (no pronunciation aids are given in the story) would find the book helpful. It covers less than 200 words, but they are the necessary ones -- days of the week, food, clothing, numbers, etiquette words.
