by Ogden Nash ‧ RELEASE DATE: Oct. 6, 1964
Three Santa Claus tales in overlong rhyme manufactured for the Christmas trade under a brand name that adults respond to. Tale 1.-- Santa Claus appears at George Washington's side, crosses the Delaware and wraps up the Hessians. Tale 2.-- A reindeer gone lame on the Australian beat is replaced by a bouncing kangaroo. Tale 3.-- Santa Claus mans a deserted money kettle and almost gets hauled in for collecting funds without a license. Scraggly cartoons adorn each page, all in color (but mostly purple) with Santa Claus more dwarf than elf, more troll than droll.
