NOGBAD AND THE ELEPHANTS

A sad baby elephant, gift from the King of the Southland to Noggin's son Prince Knut, mopes despite efforts to cheer him, then dances for joy when he sees another elephant walk into the castle. They go out together, but the baby elephant, in pulling the larger one into the river, finds inside, to his dismay, a wooden frame hiding Nogbad the Bad who covets his jeweled coat. Then a chase and a capture, a prison sentence for Nogbad and a return home for the baby elephant. Warm trinket with a little sparkle in the illustrations, a little knuisance in the nomenclature.
