Here is a combined career- story which is really good. Young Dave, just out of school, gets a job is a shipyard working at top speed in war time. In his days off work he helps the Guard Auxiliary petrol. Queer doings in the yard and up the arouse and eventually he helps uncover some sootage schemes in the ick of time. The plot is and nently worked out, and the career side of the story -- descriptions of the work in the shipyard -- is excellent.
