by P. G. Wodehouse ‧ RELEASE DATE: April 13, 1959
..... equals ten short stories by that flip of the limpest wrist master and displays some confused clubsters and the problems that their fellow members present. Amour is toujours -- when it isn't a spot of the old bite from the races or gambling -- and it takes a bit of do from all those helping (bumbling?) hands to unstiff lovers' tiffs, or straighten out the Clarissas, Angelas, Hermiones and Merions from the Oswalds, Augustuses, Dudleys -- and sometimes to part the Ooofys from the coin of the realm. There's a nasty tangle over wrestling, a temper held which is better unleashed, some golf, a plentitude of broken engagements (which need not end up in the same place when splinted), -- and all the diddle, diddle dumplings come out on the brighter side. But isn't it always Wodehouse time?
