by P. G. Wodehouse ‧ RELEASE DATE: N/A
A typical tangle of Wodehousian worlds, when two romances are enjoined, and family, financial, social and personal problems are involved. Once again Freddy Threepwood (now married to an American and American indoctrinated- he can think on his feet and get constructive ideas) madly circulating on a dangerous perimeter as he endeavors to get his cousin Veronica married to Plimsoll, an American millionaire, to side with his cousin Prudence in her desire to marry Blister, and as he fights to protect his marital status in keeping his wife's necklace, and placating his dog-biscuit-making American father-in-law. And again, vague, woodenheaded, peer, Lord Emsworth, and his Blandings estate, his seductive pig, the Empress of Blandings, his relatives, all leading snobs, a superlative touch of elbow-bending, and a too-too real mental delusion. Forsooth- and forbear- but never forswear.
