ANGEL CAKE

Ye olde frou frou - which could mean fruity-fruity to some -- as the boys of the old brigade gather together to take over the theatrical business in New York City. Center front -- Cyrll, (Barmy) Fotheringay-Phipps who inherits via his British relations:- right center, Dinty Moors, ourvaceous and smart and loved by Barmy after he sets fire to her hat:- left center, Mervyn Potter, moompix star and unpredictable, unmanageable drunk:- and assorted character parts and extras. Barmy buys into (angels) a beat up old play, is harassed and haunted by all sorts of theatrical Things and is pulled out of failure by Potter's determination to play the sad, dramatic abortion for farce. Hitting the try-out towns but good, they are in the chips on their N.Y.C. opening -- and, sashaying around possible troubles, sell it back to the first vendors. Recipe as before but taking in new styles and sayings.
