Children help a stranded alien escape earth. Tsynq Yr--roughly pronounced ""stinker""--crashes on earth while fleeing the enemy Zarnk with information that must reach the Sylon Confederacy. His host body damaged beyond repair, he takes refuge in the body of a skunk. In this guise, he meets Karen and Jonathan, both misfits in the same school class. With their help--including lots of peanut butter--Tsynq Yr reprograms Jonathan's PC to cause a space shuttle to land on a local road; and having discovered that essence of skunk is a deadly Zarnk deterrent, he makes off with the shuttle and 100 local skunks. A cheerful romp--not much science in this science fiction, but the rules are obeyed: loners connect, underskunks overcome. Short, easy, and pleasant.
