DORRIE AND THE WITCH'S IMP

Home alone on the day of Big Witch's dinner party for a coven of suspicious neighbors, Dorrie is quick to realize that the substitute cook is really an evil witch intent on spoiling the broth with nasty spells. Even after she is locked in the bathroom and replaced by a simpering, lookalike imp, Dorrie manages to wreak enough havoc with bubbles and bathwater to interrupt the dinner and save Big Witch and her guests from being turned into crows. As usual with Dorrie, mishap after silly mishap somehow snowball to a happy conclusion and there's a winking, contrariwise appeal in so much ghoulish mayhem neatly outlined and shaded by Coombs' pencil.
