TRIO: The Revolting Intellectuals Organization

T.R.I.O. (The Revolting Intellectuals Organization) is a fantastic band of intellectual do-badders who are out to reform society by acting outside the law. They are Robin Hoods who send their ill-gotten gains to the United Nations Children Fund. Their victims include a seller of condemned antibiotics to North Africans, a C.I.A. undercover agent, an Arab swindler, etc. These Trio groups were dreamed up by an American psychiatrist for the useful release of frustrations by his clients. And they operate with the understanding that they must earn public approval. However, as the witty story progresses, Trio sparks several unforeseen violent deaths. The funniest moments turn out not to be about Trio but about Scotland Yard, while the intellectuals are longwinded. This is apparently the first installment of a series, for the main ""criminals"" get away and promise new adventures. When the characters shut up and go into action, the story becomes a Peter Sellers farce.
