BETTER THAN WORKING

In a style which is characteristic of the stereotype newspaper reporter's fast-moving and fliply mediocre humor, the author describes his career as a reporter- a career which followed in his father's footsteps, a career which was to his father (and is to him) better than working. Full of anecdotes and well-known names in the professional and reporting worlds, he traces his development as a reporter on the Baltimore Sun and his varied experiences as overseas correspondent during some of the world's major and minor crises. Interesting, but not earthshaking.
