Marshal ""Montana Joe"" Raiford, en route to retirement, takes on the identity of blind Pop Lanier's son, aligns himself against a killer, Squat Armstrong, and a crooked lawyer, Newt Cragg, who are aiming after Lanier's ranch lands as well as those of rancher Ardell. With the murder of Ardell, and of Lanier, Montana Joe eventually sees justice done as Armstrong is killed by Cragg, and he puts Cragg behind bars. Satisfactory.
