To salvage this would be as difficult as the defunct S.E.P. where it might have appeared thirty years ago along with some of the anachronisms of an earlier era. ""Holy mackerel,"" you spend a long time below decks and upside down after the Poseidon, ""retching up her bowels in mortal agony,"" is briefly afloat. Some fifteen of its passengers work their way up and hopefully out, and without going into the particulars--since they're not very interesting--about ten of them succeed. Not the football-star-into-minister Frank Scott who never manages to make oil and holy water mix--he's not equal to the emergency. But those that survive are able to prove that they're more than God's children--they're their new selves ... Spiritual drama-min and just as torporous.
