GOLF IS A FRIENDLY GAME

A good item for summer sales, but no great shakes for a permanent place. Gallieo does this sort of thing well. Eight stories of golf, golfing, tournaments, players and the business of signing up winners to advertise equipment. The adventures and misadventures of one William Fowler, equipment representative, as he attempts to fulfill his boss' many orders and requirements. There is romance and woman trouble, superstition, gambling and charity, the routing of a fifth column, and so on. There are various golf courses, match and medal play, and slick tricks to wind up the plots. All in all good lightweight for followers of the sport.
