What Happens to a Hamburger is a tract on digestion reduced to bite size and in terms that are easy to visualize (the ""soupy food"" squeezed into the small intenstine from the stomach). Scientific terminology is not scanted, however -- saliva is spit or what pours into your mouth when ""you say your mouth is watering"" -- though a simpler word may be preferred over its identified equivalent (e.g. gullet instead of esophagus). Altogether it's a clear, animated depiction of the process whereby food is ingested, broken up and broken down by digestive fluids into molecules which pass into the bloodstream and thence to all parts of the body (the unused portion ""you get rid of. . . when you go to the bathroom""). The pictures are integrally helpful and equivalently tasteful.
