Innocent guile and a gun put the pie thieves in Granny's power until, too late, they learn that the gun doesn't shoot. The spectacle of the big bad desperadoes picking berries, sweeping the floor, catching ducks and fixing the roof for this ""helpless old lady"" pales, however, beside her effect on the Indians (1969) and altogether this is more conventional and less clever than its predecessor. But there'll always be takers for this kind of put-on.
