GOOD HUNTING, LITTLE INDIAN

Little Indian tries in vain to be a huntsman and succeeds in a most unorthodox manner as animal charges hunter who in turn comes riding in on the back of his prey. The instinct to jump and the luck to land straight save Little Indian from the horns of a wild hog and supply the tribe with enough meat for a feast. ""But next time you go out hunting"", warns Papa Indian, ""you bring home the meat"", instead of vice versa. The original and unpredictable outcome adds that special note to a story made especially appealing by Leonard Weisgard's artful pictures in luminous tones of gold and orange.
